8B Education Investments reached out to Ghanaian universities and high schools as part of ongoing student sign up campaigns. Beginning in October, the 8B team in Ghana managed to organize informational and signup events with various learning institutions in Ghana.
A highlight of 8B’s efforts in Ghana was collaborating with the University Students Association of Ghana (USAG), which is a body of 40 universities in Ghana (private and public) to organize 8B seminars, workshops, and webinars.
“The agenda is to take 8B to every region of Ghana with the goal of getting everyone’s attention to signing on and enjoying the offers it presents,” said Ms. Leticia Sarpong, 8B’s Ghana Country Manager.
The colleges and universities 8B has reached out to in Ghana include:
- Kwame Nkrumah University of science and technology
- University of Cape Coast
- University of Ghana
- University of Professional Studies-Accra
- All Nations University
- Christian Service University
- Ola Training College
8B also made efforts to sign up high school students. The team has been invited to hold sessions in the following high schools in Ghana:
- St. Augustine High
- Mfantsipim High School
The outreach to universities, colleges, and high schools in Ghana is part of a wider campaign to reach and sign up as many African students on the 8B platform as possible. Similar events took place in Kenya and Uganda. Our goal is to have 100,000+ African students signed up on the 8B platform by the end of 2022.
8B’s mission is to enable African brilliance to have a global impact. Our innovative platform provides African students with access to the financial, university, and employer networks they need to succeed abroad.
